March 6, 2012 – Allen Press, Inc. is the winner of two ‘Best of Category’ awards in this year’s Graphic Excellence Awards Competition, sponsored by PIA MidAmerica, the regional trade group of the Printing and Imaging Association. The “Best of Category” recognition is given to the piece judged the best entry that has no visible or technical flaws, within a category in a division. Divisions are determined by the size of the company.

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 – Allen Press has been chosen by the Southern Appalachian Botanical Society (SABS) to co-publish Castanea, the Society’s scientific Journal, beginning in 2012.Castanea, first published in 1936, now in volume 76, is a quarterly journal that publishes papers relating to all aspects of botany covering the entire eastern United States and adjoining areas.
